Ken Thwaits’ 2015 Z28

In the spring of 2015 we were commissioned by Ken Thwaits at Showtime Motorsports to build his newest 5th Gen Camaro. This would be our 3rd Car build for Ken who was fresh off his 2014 Optima Search For The Ultimate Street Car Championship Win. Within 8 weeks we transformed this new Z28 into the track capable monster you see below.

The tear down began. Multiple Seibon carbon fiber panels were to be reused from the Yellow championship Camaro to help reduce the Z's curb weight.

The Seibon parts were quickly test fitted before being sent to Wagner Enterprises Collision Repair in Monrovia, IN to be color matched to the Z.

Even thought the stock engine fit nice with its 505hp it also was set aside. A new MSD Intake equipped Mast Motorsports LS took its place at 747hp.

  1. Thanks for the insight on Ken's Z/28! But, to me, as a '14 1LE owner, his yellow 1LE was bitchin :) Awesome 5TH Gen builds guys!
